Maltby Street Market

It was the last day of August and we went on a gastronomic treasure hunt under the arches of the train tracks near London Bridge. We started at Maltby Street Market, the cooler sibling of Borough Market and sampled olives, smoked salmon, the best ever salty caramel ice cream and other delights. After winding under train arches and through the backstreets of Bermondsey, we found more treasures; delicious focaccia, tasty beer and cured salamis and ham. We headed home with our tummies filled with yumminess, knowing that we will be back. Soon.
