In 2011, Merlin and Genevieve, decided to surround their lives with food. Merlin spent a year learning how to make cheese, while Genevieve learnt bread making and spent time at a North London Grocers, Melrose and Morgan. Soon after, General Store opened its doors in Peckham, South London.

Stocking mostly British produce and much of it locally sourced, they feel passionate about providing great quality foods that people can take away and make a meal with. From Moxon’s fishmonger’s smoked mackerel, jams from the London Borough of Jam, cheeses from Neal’s Yard Dairy, Peckham grown redcurrants, teas from Flint & Co., chocolate from Mast Brothers and Pump Street Bakery.

The store is filled with a colourful and delicious selection of produce and goods, with some great coffee from Workshop Coffee Co. and a freshly baked Eccles cake or two. General Store inspires new tastes and discoveries and a love for living local.
